The benefits of maths tutoring
A notoriously challenging subject, maths tuition can be useful for a variety of reasons. Some pupils will have a maths area they particularly struggle with, while others will just be aiming for the best grade possible. For individuals who are quick to get to grips with mathematics material, maths tutoring provides an opportunity to learn above and beyond the standard national syllabus.
If you’re homeschooling your children, additional maths tutoring can compensate for any gaps in your knowledge.
Exams our maths tutors frequently help with include:
As many of our private maths tutors have master’s degrees and PhDs from Russell Group and Oxbridge universities, we also offer maths tuition for undergraduates.

Embla H
University of Oxford: MSc Engineering (2:1); BSc Engineering (2:1)
Exeter Mathematics School: A Levels in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics (A*AA)
I have tutored for the past five years, primarily teaching STEM subjects up to A-Level standard, and also preparing students for Oxbridge admissions tests. Some of my previous students have been admitted to Oxbridge and Imperial College London for their degrees, and others have gone on to achieve As and A* s in their GCSEs and A Levels.

I believe it is important to make subjects engaging to the student. I find it helps to regularly test understanding by asking the student to explain problems back to me, and working through them together to create a discussion rather than merely talking at the student. This allows the back-and-forth dialogue and Q&A essential for a successful tutor-student relationship, and enables a tutor to really connect with each individual pupil.

I am full-time tutor with over five thousand hours' experience, working with sixteen premier tuition agencies and numerous high-profile clients. I have also worked as an agent for other tuition companies.

I am now excelling as a full time private tutor. In November 2014, I was privileged to be invited to deliver Oxbridge Applications workshops to several of the top schools in Hong Kong including La Salle, German-Swiss International School and Harrow International. I always strive to be the best tutor I can, and I am open to working with clients from all backgrounds and situations. I have experience delivering lessons in person and over Skype, plus tailoring courses for home schooled children. I have a dual webcam display which seamlessly transitions between my handwriting and my profile, enabling a very clear and effective delivery of lessons, including mathematics.

I am passionate about helping children secure a solid education, to lay the foundations for a successful career later in life. My Cambridge education has opened up a wealth of opportunities and I too want to help children receive the best education so they can go on to achieve great things.
